Assistant Turf Manager
The New Hampshire Fishercats, Double A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, located in Manchester New Hampshire, are currently searching for an Assistant Turf Manager.
Position Overview
The position of Assistant Turf Manager plays a vital role in the management process of field. Candidate will assist Head Turf Manager with the day to day management process.
The Assistant Turf Manager position is a full-time salaried position with full medical benefits. This position receives two weeks of paid vacation each year. Meals are provided for each home game.
Position responsibilities, but not limited to:
-Assist in day-day Turf Management of a high level Double A field.
-Ability to effectively manage task(s) to accomplish all of duties in a timely manner.
-Ability to work alone and with others to accomplish task(s).
-Ability to deal with adverse work/weather conditions.
-Ability to adjust to different situations when necessary.
-Ability to communicate effectively with Head Turf Manger and Field Crew staff.
-Ability to manage and assign duties as necessary to Field Crew member(s)
-Ability to work long hours
-Ability to work many days without time off
-Ability to organize tarp crew efficiently when needed
Position Qualifications:
-Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field from an accredited turf program.
-1-2 years working on a sports field.
-Must be motivated to further his/her career in Sports Turf Industry.
