Grade 18
Starting Salary:  $40,778.70 per year – plus extensive benefits package

THE JOB:                             
Perform professional planning duties in support of the Parks Department’s planning initiatives, including gathering and analyzing data on present and future recreation development.  Coordinate the scheduling, completion and evaluation of various construction and improvement projects and assist in recommending improvements to department facilities.  Performs related duties.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:            
MS in Planning, Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture and 1 year related experience; BS + 2 additional years of related experience may be substituted for the Master’s Degree.  The candidate should have excellent communication skills, knowledge of the practices and techniques of construction design, and the ability to manage various projects with time critical deadlines.  Substantial knowledge of ArcGIS 9.3 and AutoCadd 2006 desired.
