Workshop Description:

Why do you evaluate your employee's performance? Is performance evaluation a once-a-year event in your organization? Understanding the implications of a supervisor's responsibility in addressing employee performance lies at the heart of this training session. When supervisors continuously engage their employees, with a performance-based focus, they are able to clearly and effectively communicate the expectations of their organizations and limit their exposure to employment practice-related liability.

This session will provide supervisors and managers with an opportunity to practice the 'art' of engaging in a performance-based discussion, as well as the important follow-up documentation of the discussion. Participants will learn best practices in engaging in preparation, discussion, and documentation of potentially difficult performance discussions.
