Workshop: Do you wish you had more opportunities to think/learn about the impact of racism and other forms of discrimination? What if you could increase your capacity to improve relationships and insure a more fair and inclusive community? Join us to reflect and learn together. This interactive workshop is designed to strengthen foundations, knowledge and skills to foster equity and belonging in your personal and professional lives. Our goals are to:

  • Reflect on our identity and how this impacts our role in recreation.
  • Deepen our understanding and examine how racism and discrimination operates in our own lives and our society
  • Focus on our head, heart, and hands. (not judge self/others for not getting “it”).  This is a “laboratory” setting not a performing setting.
  • Identify specific actions for change and to be partners for change.

Join us for this very important training available through an Opportunity grant that was awarded to NHRPA by the Endowment for Health Board of Directors to fund the Workshop on Diversity, Equity, Justice and Inclusion for Parks and Recreation Professionals in New Hampshire.  Following the training will be the NHRPA Awards luncheon honoring NH Parks & Recreation professionals.  This promises to be a fantastic day of learning and celebrating all the great work done by NHRPA members!  More information on lunch coming soon!
